The latest recall news come from Kia, the automaker is reportedly to recall 58,000 units of 2003 – 2007 Kia Spectra due to corrosion issues. That's because Metal straps securing the fuel tank might corrode due to salt exposed and potentially break leading the tank to fall off from the car,i it could be increasing the chances of a fire.
If you have an affected Spectra, then you should go to the dealers and they will change straps and bracket hardware with zinc-coated parts at no charge. Spectra owners in select states will be notified soon and for further details about this recalling, you can contact the manufacturer by calling 1-800-333-4542 or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
