Buick just officially announced the 2011 Buick GL8 minivan for China. Inspired by the Business concept, the 2011 Buick GL8 comes with distinctive headlights, a waterfall grille, as well as faux porthole vents. It sports a 3,088mm wheelbase plus measures an abundant 5,256mm long, 1,878mm wide, as well as 1,800mm tall.
On the interior, the seven-passenger cabin is attractively appointed with a wrap-around dashboard, refined metallic accents, wood trim, as well as blue ambient lighting. Optional goodies include two-tone leather seats, power-sliding doors, entertainment system for rear passengers (a Bose audio system and a 10.2-inch screen) as well as a panoramic sunroof.
In terms of performance, the 2011 Buick GL8 power is produced by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Ecotec engine or an optional 3.0-liter V6 SIDI. Both are coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. There is no word on total power output.
In terms of pricing, buyers can bring one of the 2011 Buick GL8 home, if they are willing to pay 288,000 RMB ($43,195 / €32,800) to the automaker. Shipping is slated to start in January 2011.
