General Motors recently released the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition for the public. It was initially showcased at the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in March and now is scheduled to be available in the Q1 of 2011.
Under the hood, the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition is equipped with the new 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine cranking out 505 HP at 6300 rpm plus 470 lb-ft of torque at 4800 rpm. Performance wise, it can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds with a top speed of up to 199 mph.
The car is also equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes which is found on the ZR1 model. The Carbon Edition model also features the Magnetic Selective Ride Control damping system to give a smooth ride for those weekend road journeys.
As for the exterior, the 2011 Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition offers black headlamps, rear-view mirrors, body-color door handles, as well as rear deck spoiler. Other goodies include ZR1′s front air splitter, a set of black 20-spoke wheels (19-inch in front and 20-inch in the rear), side sill extensions, either Supersonic Blue paint colors or Inferno Orange.
As for the interior, buyers can expect to get black and charcoal leather as well as suede trim with accented stitching in either blue or orange and many more.
The new 2011 Corvette Z06 will be limited to only 500 exemplars with a starting price point of $99,925.
