Fait Group, the owner of about 20 % stake in Chrysler, had determined to rebadge the 2011 Dodge Journey crossover as a Fait Freemont. The 2011 Dodge Journey crossover has been rebadged for European market. In addition to rebadge, it has also been revised in all aspects of interior, exterior as well as powertrain.
The design enhancements over the rebadged crossover, Dodge Journey are considered to be held at a minor. The Dodge Journey was receiving minor exterior design improvements, a refresh interior as well as a modified suspension. As Fait Freemont model, it's certain to receive Fiat’s 2.0-liter turbo diesel unit along with 170HP instead of the Journey’s VW-sourced 140HP 2.0-liter diesel engine.
The Freemont will be unleashed in Geneva, with sales due in June 2011. The Freemont will be manufactured from Chrysler’s plant in Toluca, Mexico, and will then be exported to Europe market.
