Mazda was coming to the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show along with a brand-new Mazda CX-5 compact crossover, a production version of the Mazda Minagi concept that unveiled in Geneva back in February. The CX-5 compact crossover is scheduled to become available on sale in European and North America starting from next year.
The CX-5 will be the first models that uses Mazda’s SKYACTIV technology and also new KODO design language. For the engine options, the CX-5 is available in a couple SKYACTIV engines, including a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 165HP and 210 Nm (154.9 lb-ft) of torque and also a 2.2-liter diesel engine which is available in two levels, the first level develops150 HP and 380 Nm (280.2 lb-ft) and the second develops 175 HP and 420 Nm (309.7 lb-ft). Both engines can be linked to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with Front or All-wheel drive configurations.
