Abarth has shown a brand new Abarth 695 Competizione at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, a new version of the Abarth 500 city car which is also the first "street legal" Scorpion racing car.
Abarth 695 Competizione is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter T-Jet 16v engine developing 180 PS (132 kW / 178 hp) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque, this engine is coupled to an "Abarth Competizione" five-speed sequential transmission with race-inspired steering wheel controls. This allows the model to sprint from 0-100 km/h in under 7 seconds with a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph). In terms of fuel efficiency, it returns an average 6.5 L/100km with CO2 emissions of just 151 g/km.
Design wise, the Abarth 695 Competizione features an exclusive Grigio Competizione Opaco livery paint job, Xenon headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels sourced from the "Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari," "695" logos and "Competizione" graphics, a sport-tuned suspension as well as Brembo brakes. New features for the interior are Sabelt racing seats, carbon fiber trim, a black leather steering wheel with a tricolor hub, a navigation system with telemetry, Jaeger instrument panel, a roll bar and an individually-numbered plaque.
