Volkswagen has recently launched the new Bluemotion version of its seventh-generation Passat for the United Kingdom market, buyers can place their order now with first batch to hit showrooms later of July this year. The BlueMotion Passat itself has been available in Europe since January, and is available in both sedan and Estate body forms with prices kicks off a £19,875 for sedan and £21,180 for estate.
Under the hood, the new VW Passat Bluemotion is powered by a 1.6-litre common-rail turbodiesel unit produces 105 PS linked to a six-speed manual gearbox. Thanks to its fuel-minded technologies, the Passat Bluemotion is able to reach 68.9 mpg for the saloon and 65.7 mpg for the Estate model while keeping CO2 emissions as low as 109 g/km for the saloon, and 113 g/km for the Passat Estate.
Those fuel-saving technologies are including Stop/Start system, optimized aerodynamics, a 15mm lower suspension, battery regeneration systems, a different radiator grille, an underbody panel as well as low rolling resistance tyres. While standard equipments for the BlueMotion Passat include curtain airbags, ESP, air conditioning, electric windows, electronic parking brake, multimedia features with iPod connectivity, fatigue detection system, Park Assist II and many more.
