Audi just unveiled the Audi TT RS Plus, a more powerful variant of its TT RS. The TT-RS Plus with both coupe and roadster versions will make first public appearance at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
The TT RS Plus addresses some mechanical improvements to the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine, including intake manifold, increased turbocharger boost pressure and an active exhaust. These additions help the engine improve the maximum output of 360 HP (265 kW) and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque.
The coupe version can complete 0-62-mph sprint in 4.1 seconds (4.3 seconds using the standard manual gearbox), while the roadster when equipped with the S tronic transmission can do so in 4.2 seconds (manual: 4.4 seconds). Both Coupe and Roadster top speeds are electronically limited to 174 mph.
In terms of design, some new components set it apart from the TT-RS, those goodies are a singleframe radiator grille in polished anthracite with a TT-RS Plus badge, carbon fiber side mirrors, TT RS Plus badging, black 19-inch TT-RS wheels with a contrasting red accent on the rim flanges, carbon fiber engine trim covers, black oval dual exhaust pipe tips, and aluminum-look gear lever.
In Germany, the new Audi TT RS Plus Coupe has an MSRP of €60,650 or €62,800 with the seven-speed S tronic. Meanwhile the Roadster has a starting price tag of €63,500 or €65,650 with the seven-speed S tronic.
