[Detroit Auto Show], Volkswagen has officially unveiled the New Midsize Sedan (NMS) which will be named the Passat (Volkswagen Passat US Version) in North America.
Unlike the European version, Volkswagen Passat US Version comes with Jetta-derived styling. While for engines options, U.S buyers can choose between three engines, includes an entry-level 2.5-liter five-cylinder unit, a 3.6-liter V6 and a 2.0-liter TDI.
The 2012 Volkswagen Passat will be manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is slated to become available on sale later this year with starting price point of $20,000.
