The 2011 Geneva Motor Show is just around the corner, less than 10 days, we will see lots of new cars in Switzerland. And today the Swedish automaker has decided to roll out first batch of photos and additional details for the 2012 Volvo V60 Hybrid.
The Volvo V60 Hybrid is expected to become available on sale as of next year. The Volvo V60 Hybrid will be powered by a combination of a 2.4-litre five-cylinder turbocharged diesel producing 215 hp / 400 NM along with a lithium ion battery electric motor.
This combination is producing 285 HP of total power output, allows the Volvo V60 Hybrid to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds when the 'Power' mode is used, and while performance is not required, the driver can choose the Hybrid mode, and allow the hybrid car to have CO2 emissions of just 49 grams/Km with 150 mpg driving range. Aside from that, there is also the 'Pure' button, which allows the Volvo V60 Hybrid to run on standalone battery power for up to 32 miles or around 50 Km.
