Subaru has recently unleashed the first glimpse of the redesigned Impreza (the all-new 2012 Impreza), ahead of its first debut at the 2011 New York Auto Show. Available in both 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback body styles, the new Impreza seems to be a decent successor with elegant styling such as chrome accents, a kinked rear window, roomier interior as well as muscular wheel arches.
Power will probably be supplied by the new 2.0-liter Boxer engine that cranks out 148 PS (109kW / 146 hp) plus 196 Nm (145 lb-ft) of torque. While that hasn't been revealed, Subaru claimed the Impreza will deliver up to 36 mpg on the highway which is considered to be one of the best fuel economy rating of any all-wheel drive car in the United States.
For now, you can enjoy a single view of the 2012 Impreza sedan’s side above. More pics is expected to come when the car is official at New York. Please stay tuned.
