Security is a big deal factor in Mexico, so Volkswagen offers a special car for those who need extra protection. Volkswagen released the armored Bora Protect car for Mexican markets. The car is based on the previous-generation VW Jetta and is equipped with bullet-proof material and run-flat tires.
The armored Bora Protect sedan is priced at $70,000 and comes with the 115-horsepower 2.0 liter TFSI unit producing 200 bhp (149 kW / 203 PS), matched with VW's six-speed DSG gearbox. The Bora Protect is more about stopping bullets, not performance like one.
