In order to mark its 10th victory at Le Mans 24 hours race with the R18 TDI, Audi UK has unveiled the R8 V8 Limited Edition. The limited edition R8 V8 sports car will be produced in only 100 units and exclusively for UK customers.

Just like the serial R8, the Limited Edition is powered by the same 4.2-litre engine churning out 430 HP and linked to either manual or R tronic automated manual gearbox. This allows the car to do the 0-62mph (100km/h) in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 187mph (301 km/h). Additionally it features magnetic ride adaptive suspension system.

The R8 V8 Limited Edition comes with bespoke titanium-effect paint finish, a set of 19-inch R8 GT-inspired titanium-look alloy wheels, red brake calipers and an optional Carbon Package which comes with extra goodies like carbon sigma sideblades, door mirrors, monoposto, inlays, door sill trims as well as an engine cover.

Inside, the R8 V8 Limited Edition cabin is adorned with crimson red trim accents, Black Fine Nappa leather seats and headrests, leather-covered multi-function steering wheel and instrument cowl, stainless steel pedals, bright aluminium inserts with R8 logo, new floor mats and many more. Other highlights are including satellite navigation, Audi Music Interface (AMI) a premium Bang and Olufsen sound system, Bluetooth interface and an interior light package.

Interested buyers can begin ordering the limited edition coupe as of July with starting price tag of £93,935 OTR.
