Audi UK has donated a chromed-out Audi V10 R8 Spyder to be auctioned off at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball charity event on June 23 with all proceeds from the auction will be used to support the Elton John Aids Foundation. The special R8 Spyder comes with unique mirror-like chrome finish to attract the interest of bidders. Audi did not mention how much the chromed-out R8 Spyder V10 was sold for, but it's likely around £117,710 OTR or about US$188,050.
Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi UK said :
"Sir Elton John's fundraising ball really is a golden ticket event that is as glamorous as it is hugely effective in fundraising terms. We are delighted, and enormously proud, to support it for a ninth year with the donation of what is arguably our most fittingly glamorous model."
