To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification, Fiat has today announced a special anniversary edition model of its Punto Evo supermini dubbed the ‘Punto 150’. Expect to be available on sale this April, the commemorative edition offers a bespoke honeycomb grille, a set of two-tone unique lightweight alloy wheels, “Azzurro Italia” special metallic exterior color as well as the “Italia 150” round commemorative badges placed on the B-pillars.
Aside from that, the new Punto 150° will be coming with standard features such as air conditioning, fog lights, and entertainment system include radio-CD audio and MP3.
Under the bonnet, buyers can choose between three Euro 5-compliant engines, include 1.2-liter 69HP petrol, 1.4-liter 77HP petrol and also 1.3-liter Multijet II 75HP diesel. All those engine choices are equipped with a start/stop technology as standard. Interestingly the 1.4-liter petrol engine can run on both petrol or LPG.
In terms of price, The 1.2-liter version of the Punto 150° is priced at €9,900 ($14,000). The automaker didn't say if the special anniversary edition Punto 150° is reserved solely for Italy. So it could be sold in other countries too.
