Ford is expanding the Fiesta’s European family by adding the Sport+ limited edition to the lineup. Based on the three-door model, Ford Fiesta Sport+ Limited Edition comes equipped with a number of both exterior and interior appointments along with improved 1.6-liter gasoline powerplant.
On the exterior, the Sport+ or best known as Sport S in Germany and S1600 in the UK features the custom Performance Blue or Frozen White paintjob with distinguishing racing stripes and inclusive bodykit such as a new front bumper, revised side skirts, roof-mounted spoiler and rear diffuser with on-board twin-pipe exhaust as well as a set of 17-inch alloy wheels.
On the cabin, it offers sport seats with blue stitching and standard goodies like leather steering wheel, Motorsport-branded floor mats, side airbags and many more.
Under the hood, the 1.6-liter Duratec Ti-VCT four-pot is tweaked to crunch out 134HP and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque ( it's around 14HP and 8 Nm (6 lb-ft) extra over the regular engine). Fiesta Sport+ can now acelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 8.7 seconds, 1.2 seconds better than the 120HP 3-door variant. Top speed is rated at 195 km/h (121 mph).
Sadly, it will only become available in select Europe markets, like UK, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium. North America and other markets might be later. buyers need to fork out €18,090 or around US $24,440 to get the base model of Fiesta Sport+ Limited Edition.
