Hyundai just presented the first product that will be manufactured at the Hyundai's factory in Russia, namely the Hyundai Solaris. The Hyundai Solaris is a sub-compact 4-door sedan which will be powered by either a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder Gamma engine producing 109 HP or a 1.6-litre Gamma engine producing 124 HP. Both engines are available with either a 5-speed manual or or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
A number of the features that allow the sedan to withstand the Russian winter include front and rear mud guards, a more strength battery, a 4.0-litre washer fluid tank, front seat warmers as well as heated exterior mirrors.
Hyundai expects to unleash approximately 85,000 cars annually. A 5-door hatchback model of the Hyundai Solaris is also scheduled to be released in 2011. The Hyundai Solaris price has not been announced.
