Audi will be using the 2011 Australian International Motor Show to introduce a Limited Edition TT-RS model. There will be only 45 units of the limited edition TT-RS and will only be offered in the Australian market.
The limited edition TT-RS is powered by the same 5-cylinder TFSI 2.5-liter engine sourced from the sexy TT-RS which churns out 335 hp (340 PS / 250 kW) and 332 lb.-ft (450 Nm) of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a seven-speed S Tronic gearbox. This S Tronic gearbox is already used in Europe and allows the car to accomplish the 0-62 mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds, which is 0.3 second better than the standard 6-speed transmission.
Additionally, the seventh gear is configured as a high-geared overdrive which cuts down engine speed at highway speeds, which enables the coupe to take only 8.5 liters per 100 km with a 197 g / km of CO2. Aside from that, the S tronic transmission comes with an incorporated launch control function which offers maximum power at a minimum wheel spin through Audi’s famous quattro AWD system. The TT-RS Limited Edition S Tronic is able to exceed 250 km/h (electronically limited).
The Limited Edition TT-RS also features a Black metallic exterior paint, a set of 19-inch 'Rotor' design wheels with titanium finish, a Sports exhaust system, Adaptive headlights, BOSE sound system, leather interior trim as well as LED interior lighting.
