After around a decade, a final product of the McLaren MP4-12C street model is finally available for the market. McLaren has just officially confirmed the MP4-12C pricing. The car costs $229,000.
Although the price of the McLaren MP4-12C is slightly expensive for most people, all in all it's still competitive when compared to the Ferrari 458 as well as Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570-4′s prices, which was set to $225,000 and $237,00, respectively.
The McLaren MP4-12C is built on carbon-fiber tubes and got lot of comfortable enhancements over its predecessor, the McLaren F1 model. The new 2011 McLaren LP4-12C supercar will be powered by the M838T 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, which can produce up to 600 HP and 443 lb-ft of torque. To reach 60 mph is around 3.2 seconds with a 7-speed Seamless Shift dual-clutch transmission. The McLaren LP4-12C has top speed of around 200 mph and expected quarter mile in around 11 seconds.
Aside from that, McLaren plans to offer a number of upgrades to the MP4-12C, they are offering lightweight wheels along with bespoke paint to a three-camera interior recording system.
