This is a concept of Mini Paceman, which will make its public premiere at the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) on 10 and 23 January 2011.
Essentially based on the five-door Mini Countryman, the Mini Paceman concept is designed as an upmarket, sports activity Coupé and is touted to be strongly placed to up for production in 2012, despite the green light has not yet been confirmed.
The MINI Paceman design concept study establishes a fresh category of auto mixing the fundamental MINI DNA - dynamic capability, individual design as well as a fresh twist with the help of latest technology and an innovative new body concept.
The Paceman is touted to be the first ‘Sports Activity Coupe’ in the small car segment of the market. If the Paceman goes on sale it is probably to only be available with the most powerful Mini engines.
If the Paceman arrives in production step, then it would be one of the most expensive Mini so far. Price points are probably to range from £22,000 for a front-drive version, up to £26,000 and beyond.
