Acura has unveiled a new special edition of its entry-level TSX sedan, a sportier version of the original TSX sedan. The 2012 TSX Special Edition comes with styling tweaks on both inside and outside the car, and unfortunately there is no performance or engine boost has been made to this special edition.

The 2012 Acura TSX Special Edition will be powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine developing 201 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of peak torque, the engine can be coupled to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission.

New components and changes for the exterior are a more aggressive front spoiler, a new rear bumper fascia lend, revised side sills, exclusive “Special Edition” badges and also a new set of 17-inch aluminum wheels finished in dark gray accent.

While For the interior, the Acura TSX Special Edition has black suede inserts with red stitching on the seats, red lightings for steering wheel, shift knob, instrument cluster gauges, overhead lighting and footwell lighting. There are also new aluminum pedal covers and bright silver plating for the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters/

Those of you who are going to purchase this new Acura TSX Special Edition can expect to see the model hitting showrooms in late September. The TSX Special Edition model will be showcased at the upcoming Orange County International Auto Show on September 22.
