This is the first time in its history, Peugeot has able to set a world record at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit for an electric vehicle. Using its EX1 concept racer driven by Stéphane Caillet, Peugeot has made a new record for an EV on the Nürburgring track.
The concept racer took only 9 minutes (or to be more precise is 9 minutes 01.338 seconds) to lap the 20.8 km Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit with an average speed of up to 138.324 km/h or around 85.95 mph. This is breaking the 2010 Mini E Race's record which was able to lap the circuit in 9:51.45 seconds.
