Here is a new off-road variant of the Peugeot 508 SW wagon, dubbed the 508 RHX, the car is powered by a HYbrid4 diesel-electric technology. The all-new 508 RXH would be the second diesel-electric hybrid vehicle, after the 3008 Hybrid4 model.

The model is available in only all-wheel drive version which the HYbrid4 diesel-electric technology consists a diesel engine and an electric motor with a total power output of 200 Hp and 331 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrid system is capable of running on 100% electric mode and returns up to 67.2mpg in the combined cycle with 109 g/km of CO2 emission.

Similar to the sedan variant, it doesn't have extra unique features which will set the car apart, with new features are limited to only distinctive LED lights and a set of 18-inch wheels. The interior gets special features with unique colours and luxurious materials such as premium quality interior and upholstery. Additionally, it has Open & Go keyless system, electric front seats, head up display, panoramic glass sunroof, dark-tinted acoustic laminated side windows, as well as a premium audio system with navigation.

The Peugeot 508 RXH will make its first public appearance at the upcoming IAA and will be available on sale sometime in spring 2012.
