Recent report is saying that The Ford GT is about to get a new chapter. According to Auto Express, Ford is now hard working for preparing a new supercar which will revive the legendary GT name. Details are just a few at this point, but the car is reportedly sporting an all-aluminum chassis and offer a composite body that eschews the retro styling of the earlier model.
To keep in vogue with the newest trends, the GT is planned to use a supercharged V8 which has been equipped with Ford's engine start / stop system and hybrid technology. That was expected to produce up to 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS) which will likely allows the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 322 km/h ( around 200 mph).
There is no word on release date or pricing has been announced just yet. But it's expected to be at least more affordable over the hey rivals like the Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren MP4-12C.
