The 2011 Geneva Motor Show is approaching, and Rolls-Royce has rolled out the first teaser photos of the Rolls-Royce 102EX concept which will be showcased in the show.
The 102EX is basically a Phantom EV which is used as "test bed" for accumulating feedback regarding consumer acceptance of alternative powertrains. As part of this venture, VIPs (owners, enthusiasts, as well as members of the press) will have the chance to try out the car at certain locations in Europe, Asia, North America, as well as the Middle East.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Rolls-Royce CEO said :
"With this vehicle, we begin an exploration into alternative drive-trains, seeking clarity on which alternative technologies may be suitable to drive Rolls-Royce motor cars of the future. It must be a technology that is right for our customers, our brand and which sets us on a sound footing for a sustainable future."
No word on specifications and pricing at this point, expect more information will be revealed when the 102EX is officially launched on March 1st.
