Geely was using this year's Shanghai Auto Show to introduce its own version of MINI Cooper called Geely Emgrand EC6-RV. The Emgrand EC6-RV 4-door hatchback is very similar to BMW's MINI Cooper.
Nevertheless, the Chinese-made MINI Cooper is not very identical, thanks to its longer body. EC6-RV measures at 3845mm of length, 1763mm of width, 1430mm of height as well as 2461mm of wheelbase. Two engine options is available for Powering Geely EC6-RV, including a 1.5-liter and a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine. Both are coupled to a DCT or 6 speed manual gearbox.
Other highlights of Geely Emgrand EC6-RV include G-Netlink telematics, one-touch start/intelligent key, multiple airbags as well as CAN bus technology. There is no word on pricing has been announced just yet, but it's predicted to cost around 80.000 yuan.
