Mazda European division has a MX-5 special edition for their customers, namely Mazda MX5 Karai. Only 16 units of the new special edition Mazda MX-5 will be offered in Germany with price begin from €30,000 or about US$43,500.
The new Mazda MX5 Karai is based on the MX-5 Roadster coupe and comes equipped with a 'Metal Green Metallic' exterior paint, glossy black mirror casings and grilles, a pair of black stripes, a black retractable metal plastic composite hardtop, fog light surrounds and also a new set of 17-inch multi-spoke design alloy wheels wrapped in low profile performance tires.
Inside, the MX-5 Karai cabin is outfitted with black leather Recaro seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel, aluminum pedals, contrasting white stitching, and various interior trim in glossy black.
The MX-5 Karai is powered by the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine churning out 160 HP. Additionally the automaker also offers an optional sport package that includes a new sportier exhaust system, a lowering kit for the suspension and also extra equipments such an iPod and USB adapter, and custom floor mats.
