In partnership with the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars design team from Goodwood, southern England, Mini has developed a new special edition model known as the Mini Inspired by Goodwood. The model is going to make its world premiere at the 2011 Shanghai Motors Show this month.
The Mini Inspired by Goodwood model is based on the Mini Cooper S and sports a range of Rolls-Royce luxury and exclusivity for both exterior and interior.
Under the hood, The Mini Inspired by Goodwood features a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder unit developing 181-hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. The engine can be hooked up with either a 6-speed manual or an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox.
There are only 1,000 units worldwide with deliveries are planned to begin in spring 2012 at undisclosed prices, details on pricing will be announced later.
