Tata Pixel Will be Sold in Europe to Replace Nano

The fail of Nano has not prevented Tata from targeting the European market. Speaking with AutoCar, Ratan Tata said that his company will develop a production model of the Pixel concept which has been showcased at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It's going to replace the previously announced Nano Europa which was planned to be released late 2010.
Especially designed for Europeans, the four-seat Pixel tries to correct anything that was wrong with the original Nano. Details are limited at the point, however the production model will have conventional doors plus a retuned chassis which offers better handling.
Power will probably be supplied by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder diesel engine with around 60 hp (45 kW / 61 PS). This must allow the pixel to have a combined fuel consumption of 3.4 L per 100km or around 69.1 mpg in US with CO2 emissions of 89 g/km.
No word on when the Tata Pixel will be launched, however it will be offered along with a four-door variant.
