Toyota has confirmed plans to bring the iQ electric vehicle prototype at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
Based on the FT-EV concept, the iQ EV prototype comes equipped with a recently-developed flat lithium-ion battery that allows the vehicle to travel up to 105 kilometers (65 miles) with a single charge. Toyota will be showcased the concept at the event and start testing the EV later this year, before releasing it to European consumers sometime in 2012.
The iQ EV prototype will be showcased alongside the Yaris Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) concept, the FT-86 II concept, as well as the new seven-seat Prius+.
