Toyota Prius Minivan Launch in Japan Postponed

Toyota has today revealed that it will postpone the launch of Toyota Prius hybrid minivan in Japan due to interruptions in parts supply following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Toyota was previously planning to release the Prius minivan in April but due to the huge disaster in Japan destroyed supply chains and shops, which has forced the automaker to delay the launch. Hopefully, this will not affect the Prius minivan’s arrival in the United States and Europe which is expected to come later this year.
Toyota has planned to release two variants of the Prius minivan: A two-row five seater for the US markets and a three-row seven seater for European markets and Japanese market is expected to get both models.
