VÄTH Automotive was releasing a tuning package for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG coupe version, upgrading the coupe's performance as well as aesthetic updates list for both the exterior and the interior.
The tuning starts with a performance upgrade on the 6.3 liter engine that boosts the noise from 570 HP up to 615 PS and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. This is helping the SLS coupe to hit a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and reduce the 0 to 100 km/h sprint by 0.2 seconds (it now takes 3.6 seconds). This power boost has been accomplished with the assist of programmed engine management as well as in-house high-performance exhaust system.
To complement these new performance figures, the tuner also added high-performance braking system with 20-inch three-part forged rims wrapped in high performance tires. Aside from that, VÄTH has also lowered the suspension by 25 millimeters.
While for the aesthetic upgrades, VÄTH provided a new aerodynamic (carbon fiber) package to the SLS AMG coupe, including an integrated front lip spoiler, a brand new boot spoiler equipped with trailing edge as well as revised side skirts. For the interior, the coupe gets carbon fiber sport steering wheel, new speedometer for up to 400km/h, black floor mats with VÄTH logos as well as leather trim for door.
For this engine treatment and all these new additions, customer need to spare an extra 32,670 Euro or about $46,600.
