British tuning firm BBR just released three power packages for the Mazda3 and Mazda6 MPS (also known as MazdaSpeed3 and MAZDASPEED6 in America), both models are powered by the same 2.3 liter DSI turbocharged engine and these packages can be applied on both of them.
The first package is offering power upgrade to 290 PS (213 kW / 287 hp) and a torque rating of 447 Nm (330 lb-ft), jump from the standard 256 PS (188 kW / 253 hp), this is achieved by make use of a reprogrammed ECU. If you are inserted in getting this package, then you need to spare at least £549.
The second package is offering power upgrade to 318 PS (234 kW / 314 hp) and 501 Nm (370 lb-ft). This is achieved by means of new turbo inlet hoses and downpipes as well as a custom exhaust system. This package is priced at £1645 before a fitting fee of £395.
And the last one is offering more than 350 PS (257 kW / 345 hp), this is achieved by means of the stage 2 conversion kit and also Garret hybrid GT28 turbo turbocharger. This package has no preset price due to it’s individually tailored to each car.
Additionally, the tuner also offers an optional stainless steel exhaust system, optional performance springs kit and Koni adjustable dampers for the suspension.
